IRGC has no role in operations in Kirkuk: Velayati

Tehran (ISNA)–Iranian Supreme Leader's top adviser emphasized that Iran has no role in the operations in Kirkuk and most of the Kurdish people of Iraq are against the ambitious attempt of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) President Masoud Barzani.
On the sidelines of his meeting with France's special envoy to Syria, Iranian Supreme Leader's top adviser for international affairs Ali Akbar Velayati stressed that relations between Iran and France are growing.
"I insisted during our meeting on the protection of the territorial integrity in Syria and the prevention of any destruction by the foreign countries in Syria," he added.
"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has had no interference in Kirkuk operations and most of the Kurdish people of Iraq are against the ambitious attempt of Massoud Barzani," Velayati stressed.
