Iraqi Air Force cmdr.: Iran continues to be Iraq's number one supporter

Baghdad, March 7, IRNA -- Commander of Iraqi Air Force General Hamid al-Maliki said on Tuesday that Iran continues to be Iraq's number one supporter in the fight against terrorism.
Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the 6th International Baghdad Defense Exhibition, al-Maliki said that since the fall of Mosul into the hands of Daesh in June 2014, Iran has been supporting Iraq in the fight against terrorism and has played a key role more than any other country.
He hailed Iran's military achievements, saying Iranian Air Force boasts advanced technology.
Iran managed to turn the threat of sanctions into advantage so that today the country is placed among the top world countries in air industry, the Iraqi commander said.
The 6th International Baghdad Defense Exhibition which opened in the Iraqi capital on Sunday with the participation of 80 companies from 21 countries, including Iran, will close later on Tuesday.
