Iraqi army forces have killed dozens of Daesh Takfiri terrorists as they continue their operations against the extremist group in two major provinces of Anbar and Salahuddin.

On Tuesday, Iraqi forces laid siege to the Hasibah district of Ramadi, the provincial capital city of Iraq's western Anbar Province, killing 29 Daesh militants, including four snipers, and diffusing dozens of booby traps laid by the terrorists, Iraq's Arabic-language al-Forat news agency reported.

Iraqi forces also stormed Daesh hideouts in the Houz neighborhood in southern Ramadi. The operations left 23 terrorists dead.

Reports also said Iraqi warplanes pounded the strongholds of Daesh terrorists in the Jazirat Samarra district in the northern province of Salahuddin, killing 30 Daesh terrorists.

Meanwhile, Iraqi forces reportedly downed two surveillance drones operated by Daesh in Haditha and Parwana districts of Anbar Province.

The northern and western parts of Iraq have been plagued by violence ever since Takfiri Daesh militants began their march through the Iraqi territory in June 2014.

Army soldiers and Popular Mobilization units have joined forces and are seeking to take back militant-held regions in joint operations.
