The Kurdish ministers who had suspended their participation with the Iraqi government have rejoined the administration of outgoing Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, says the country's Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari.

"I am back in Baghdad as foreign minister," Zebari, who is a Kurd, said on Wednesday.

The Kurdish ministers had suspended their cooperation with the government after Maliki accused them of supporting and harboring ISIL Takfiri terrorists operating in the country.

The premier had said that the Kurds were allowing the militants to base themselves in Erbil.

Reports indicate that since last week, ISIL militants have killed at least 500 members of the Kurdish Izadi ethnic minority of Iraq.

Local Kurdish intelligence sources also say that they have received information that Kurdish women have been captured by ISIL and are being sold to traffickers between USD 500 and USD 43,000.

The crisis in Iraq escalated after the ISIL terrorists took control of Mosul on June 10. Since then, the Takfiri group has captured other cities in Iraq.
