Iran dismisses report on dispatch of elite force to Iraqi Kurdistan

Tehran, Aug 1, IRNA -- An informed source in the Foreign Ministry denied a news by an Arab-language newspaper that Irans special forces have entered Iraqs Kurdistan region.
The informed source added that Iran has no plan to dispatch military force to Iraq.
As-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper, quoting a senior security source from Iraqi Kirkuk province, had claimed that 200 Iranian military special forces have entered the province through assistance of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) under leadership of Jalal Talibani.
