Iraqi PM: Baghdad looking for a way to kick out MKO from Iraq

Tehran, April 3, IRNA -- Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said on Wednesday Baghdad is looking for a mechanism to kick out the terrorist Mujahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO) from Iraqi territory completely in the near future.
Al-Maliki told Iran’s Intelligence Minister Hojjatoleslam Heidar Moslehi that the MKO has turned into a serious concern for Iraq and the region.
Discussing certain regional issues, including the Syrian crisis, with Moslehi, al-Maliki said Iran and Iraq have taken a completely united stance on Syria, believing that the country’s crisis has only political settlement and the Syrian people should decide their fate.
He put forward a propoasal to the Iranian government to expand security cooperation with Iraq so as to help achieve sustainable and upgraded security in Iraq.
Moslehi for his part said Iran is ready to help ensure restoration of stability and security in Iraq. “Iran would transfer its experience to Iraqi government in a professional way.”
The empowerment of Muslim government in Iraq along with other Shia Muslim governments of the region would help invigorate influence of Shiism in the region and the world, he added.
