IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, April 23, IRNA -- Iraqi Justice Minister Hassan al-Shamari said his country is determined to expel members of Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) from Ashraf Camp.

He added that the decision, which is supported by Iraq parliament, has been taken in the framework of Iraq's Constitutions and in relation with its neighbors.

On the sidelines of meeting with his Iranian counterpart here on Saturday and in a press conference, he said that cabinet ministers council has committed the prime minister to follow and implement the decision.

He added that MKO has established connections with a number of international and regional human rights organizations and is imposing pressure on Iraqi government.

Al-Shamari stressed that the organization is creating obstacles for its members residing in the camp to prevent them from leaving there.

He said that a number of MKO members might want to seek asylum in Iraq and the government will help them to get out from the camp and live in a place where the government will determine.

The Justice minister underlined that the decision is upon democratic principles and criticized international pressures in this concern.

He underlined that the MKO terrorist grouplet is not considered as refugees in Iraq and the government does not support them.
