MOSUL, Iraq – Michigan Senator and Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee Carl Levin visited Mosul March 17 for a report on the current situation in the northern Iraqi province of Ninewah.

“We are providing him a first-hand account on the situation in Ninewah province, more specifically, Mosul, so that he can get a better idea of how things are going here,” said Lt. Col. Bob Molinari, regimental operations officer for 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment.

The visit follows Arizona Senator John McCain’s visit to Mosul March 16.
