Iran-Iraq-Haddad
Majlis Speaker Gholam Ali Haddad Adel said on Sunday that Iran's principled policy is based on supporting the Iraqi government, non interference of occupiers as well as their pull-out from the war stricken Iraq.

According to the Press Bureau and Public Relations Department of Majlis, Haddad Adel made the remark in a meeting with Head of United Iraq Coalition (UIC) Seyed Abdelaziz Hakim.

The issue of Iraq is now on top of the agenda of world Muslims, Haddad underlined.

Referring to return of calm to Iraq thanks to the blood of martyrs and efforts of Iraqi leaders, he expressed hope to see an independent, unified and prosperous Iraq in the future.

Pointing to the recent conference on Iraq's neighboring states in Istanbul, he said, "We are optimistic that the ongoing efforts inside and outside Iraq would prepare grounds for gradual restoration of stability to that country."

Withdrawal of occupiers is the only solution to Iraq's crisis, he said and voiced readiness of the Majlis to broaden ties and cooperation with Iraqi Parliament and exchange views and experiences on legislation.

At the meeting, Hakim lauded the sincere efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to restore stability and tranquility to Iraq and called the current security status of his country as very promising.

"Given unprecedented unity between Shiites and Sunnis, we expect to witness significant improvement in Iraq's security affairs," he pointed out.

Terrorist operations and massacre of people have declined by 60 to 70 percent in Iraq which demonstrates the importance of unity between Shiites and Sunnis in the country, he said and expressed the hope that restoration of tranquility would lead to more investments in Iraq.

Lauding Iran's humanitarian efforts as well as the country's efforts for restoration of stability and tranquility to Iraq, he called for continuation of such sincere efforts and assistance.
