Iranian envoy says occupation is the root of insecurity in Iraq

Head of Iran's delegation in Baghdad meeting Abbas Araqchi said here Saturday Iraq is facing a vicious circle in which foreign occupation causes insecurity and insecurity is used as a justification for continuation of occupation.
Iran's deputy foreign minister, in his address to the one-day meeting expressed hope that peace and stability would return to Iraq and underlined that Iran is ready to help its neighboring country in this regard.
Representatives from 17 countries and international organizations are attending Baghdad meeting to find a way to end security crisis in Iraq which claims the lives of dozens of innocent people every day.
Representatives from five permanent members of the UN Security Council, US, Britain, France, Russia, China, as well as envoys from Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are attending the meeting.
United Nations and Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) have also sent their representatives to the meeting.
