He added, "Those that have come to the region from remote parts of the world must provide a chance for the Iraqi nation to take the lead of affairs in their own land, if they are truly the friends of the Iraqi nation."

The President reiterated, "Iraq with its ancient civilization, its talented nation and distinguished personalities inclusive of prominent Alims, thinkers, and scientists, can in this sensitive era shoulder its civilizational responsibilities."

Further stressing that the Iraqi nation is a great nation, he said, "The supporters of terrorists in Iraq had better not ruin their reputation before the eyes of that nation more than they have so far, and they should realize that once Iraq would leave behind these problems these deeds would influence the political equations of the Iraqi nation."
