President blames occupying powers for chaotic situation in Iraq

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that the current chaotic situation in Iraq emanated from presence of foreign troops in the country.
In a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari who is in Tehran to take part in conference of foreign ministers of Iraq's neighbors, President Ahmadinejad said that the occupying powers are creating the current state of chaos in Iraq to serve as a pretext for continued occupation.
Ahmadinejad said that Iraqi nation would have a bright prospect and honorable future by developing national solidarity.
He said that an independent, strong and prosperous Iraq would be in the interest of Iraq's neighbors so they support democratic government and favor security and progress in Iraq.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran supports a democratic government in Iraq and believes that Iraqi people are capable enough of
administering the affairs of their own country preparing the ground for reconstruction."
For his part, Zebari said Iraqi national resolve focused on reconstruction of Iraq and Iraqi government is keen on developing the strongest possible relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
"We regard Iran as our second country and we will never forget Iranian goodness for Iraqi people," the foreign minister said.
