Foreign ministers of the 26-member North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) meeting in Brussels Thursday agreed to expand the alliance's training mission for Iraqi security forces.
"The NATO Training Mission for Iraqi security forces will continue to develop, with the aim of adding training courses for
non-commissioned officers and a basic officers course,'' said the ministers in a statement.
The recent inauguration of the Iraqi Joint Staff College at Ar-Rustamiyah, supported by NATO, "is a clear demonstration of our commitment, as are the contributions of NATO member states in and outside of Iraq," noted the statement.
