• IEDs Kill Three Soldiers; 1,000 Prisoners to be Released From Abu Ghraib AFPS 26 Sep 2005 -- Three U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq today after two separate attacks with improvised explosive devices, U.S. military officials in Baghdad said.

• Private England Found Guilty in Abu Ghraib Abuse Case VOA 26 Sep 2005 -- One of the most prominent figures in the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal has been convicted on six counts of abuse and conspiracy, and faces up to 10 years in prison.

• Kurdistan Politicians Push The 'Yes' Vote RFE/RL 26 Sep 2005 -- Delegates of 47 political parties active in Iraq's autonomous region of Kurdistan met in its capital Irbil on 22 September to meet before the upcoming referendum on the constitution draft, RFE/RL's Radio Free Iraq (RFI) reported.
• Iraqi Families To Receive Constitution Draft RFE/RL 26 Sep 2005 -- Iraqi Trade Minister Abd al-Basit Karim Mawlud said his ministry will distribute copies of the draft constitution to Iraqis, RFE/RL's Radio Free Iraq (RFI) has reported.
• IRAQ: Centres for burn victims to be established IRIN 26 Sep 2005 -- The Iraqi Ministry of Health has announced the construction of new centres to treat burn victims in the main hospitals of the capital, Baghdad and some other governorates.
