  • Series of Attacks in Iraq VOA 11 Jun 2005 -- A suicide bomber blew himself up in front of the embassy of Slovakia, in another day of violence in the Iraqi capital. No one was killed. Separately, a suicide bomber failed in his attempt to assassinate the head of the Iraqi polices elite Wolf Brigade, but killed at least three others. At least 20 more people were killed in other attacks.

  • US Warplanes Kill 40 Insurgents in Iraq VOA News 11 Jun 2005 -- The U.S. military says American warplanes have launched air strikes on sites in Iraq near the Syrian border, killing some 40 insurgents.
