
Mosul Police Chief aids in release of 84 detainees
MOSUL, Iraq - Maj. Gen. Ahmad Kalif Mohammed Al Jaburi, the Chief of Police in Mosul, was able to negotiate the release of 84 individuals from the custody of Multi-National Forces in northern Iraq yesterday.
Multi-National Forces turned over the individuals to Mosul Police following an investigation that found the individuals not to be active member participants in the terrorists minority. The individuals were turned over to Mosul Police at the Task Force Freedom Detention Center in southern Mosul. Maj. Gen. Al Jaburi then released the individuals back to their families.
The Mosul Police Force continues to work with Multi-National Forces to enforce the rule of law in order to ensure the safety and security of Iraqi citizens in Mosul.
