TF Danger presents 4th ING Division with equipment
Tikrit, Iraq -- Senior leaders with the 1st Infantry Division presented their 4th Iraqi National Guard Division counterparts with vehicles and other equipment here on Jan. 2.
Maj. Gen. John R.S. Batiste, 1st Infantry Division and Task Force Danger commander, handed the keys to 10 four-wheel drive pickups and four Mercedes Benzes to Lt. Gen. Moufi Aziz on Forward Operating Base Danger.
The 4th ING also received 200 uniforms, cold-weather jackets and protective vests with plates. In addition, the 1st Infantry Division gave them 20 radios, five rifles and five machine guns.
The vehicles, clothing, weapons and other equipment will be used mainly by the 4th ING's headquarters detachment and scout company.
The giveaway is meant to bolster the ING's security capabilities and is part of an ongoing partnership between Task Force Danger and Iraqi National Guard in north central Iraq.
