IRAQI POLICE TO GRADUATE 32 FROM SPECIALTY TRAINING COURSE
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Thirty two Iraqi Police Service officers will graduate from the Basic Criminal Investigation course in the International Zone, here on Oct. 14, as part of the Iraqi government's ongoing effort to augment the basic training of its police forces.
The course is one of numerous specialty training courses offered at the facility to police officers. Designed for officers having previously completed the eight-week Basic Police Training Course, the specialty seminar covers additional areas of instruction including theft, burglary, arson, robbery, sexual offenses, interview and interrogation and homicide.
Officers participating in the course receive in-classroom instruction and hands-on training in fingerprinting, photography, tool marks and plaster casting. Several practical skills segments are included in the course.
Graduates of the two-week course will conduct crime scene search as well as routine criminal investigations with skills retained from the offering.
