Iraqi minister: Libyan government involved in Iraq unrests

Ilam, Oct 9, IRNA -- Iraqi Defence Minister Hazim al-Shalaan in an unprecedented statement accused Libyan government of being involved in Iraqi unrests. Iraqi TV quoting al-Shalaan reported on Saturday night numbers of Libyan agents who had fundamental roles in armed conflicts in Falluja have been known and arrested. He also said by signing a peace agreement between Iraqi interim government and leaders of Falluja in the next few days Iraqi police will take responsibility of city`s security. According to Iraqi Free Radio report, al-Shalaan will have a meeting with 18 defence ministers of the countries which have deployed forces in Iraq on a US warship in the Persian Gulf. The radio said the meeting of 18 defence ministers is to be held by an invitation from US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. 1391/1771
