Saudi Leaders, Powell Discuss Muslim Troop Deployment in Iraq
State's Boucher says goal of deployment is strengthen Iraqi security
Secretary of State Colin Powell and Saudi leaders discussed how to facilitate the deployment in Iraq of Muslim troops from countries not bordering Iraq, State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, July 29.

MR. BOUCHER: We discussed some ideas tonight with the Saudis that they have been discussing with others, about how to facilitate the deployment of troops from Muslim countries not bordering on Iraq. The goal that they have is to help the Iraqis establish security. It's a goal we support and we'll keep talking to them about it.
