- 1st ID SOLDIERS DETAIN SUSPECTED TERRORIST CELL MEMBERS 25 Jul 2004 -- 1st Infantry Division Soldiers detained 15 individuals during a raid near Mandeli around 5:30 a.m. July 25.
- Early Successes May Embolden Kidnappers RFE/RL 25 Jul 2004 -- Two Pakistanis working for a Kuwaiti company in Iraq have been missing since their truck came under attack on 23 July, and the Pakistani Foreign Ministry says that they may have been abducted.
- IRAQ / INSURGENTS VOA 25 Jul 2004 -- Iraqi security forces, backed by U.S. troops, killed at least 13 insurgents during intense fighting northeast of Baghdad. Iraqi officials, meanwhile, say they are optimistic about the chances of winning the release of several hostages.
