Anti-war rallies and demos in S. Korea

    Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Large-scale rallies and demonstrations demanding a stop to the war and opposition to the troop dispatch were simultaneously held in 19 cities including Seoul, Inchon, Taejon, Taegu and Jonju on Mar. 29, according to MBC of South Korea. The (South) Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and 45 other civic and social organizations held a people's rally for a stop to the war and a check in the troop dispatch at Jongmyo park in Seoul, attended by over 3,000 citizens.
    The participants said that if the "National Assembly" decides on the troop dispatch to the Iraqi war for the U.S. supremacy it would face all-people resistance.
    10-point demand for achieving the vital right of people including a stop to the war and check in the troop dispatch was released at the rally.
    At the end of the rally the participants staged a demonstration.
    In the evening a candle-light procession of over 5,000 citizens for peace against war was held in front of Kwanghwamun under the sponsorship of the All-People Measure Committee for Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son, Schoolgirls Killed By a U.S. Armored Car.
