INTERIM RELEASE: COALITION INVESTIGATES REPORT OF BUSES HIT BY MUNITIONS
CAMP AS SAYLIYAH, Qatar - US Central Command is aware of an allegation that coalition aircraft struck two buses March 31.
The allegation claims the buses were traveling from Amman, Jordan, to Baghdad, Iraq, with American and European human shields.
Preliminary investigation by US Central Command has not turned up any evidence of this alleged incident. However, command officials are continuing to look into the allegation.
Coalition forces target only legitimate military targets and go to great lengths to minimize civilian casualties and damage to civilian facilities.
More details will be released when they become available.
