SUSPECT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
MACDILL AFB, FL - A suspect was taken into custody following the attack on elements of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). The suspect is a soldier assigned to the Division.
The attack occurred around 1:30 a.m. local Kuwait time (March 23). Thirteen soldiers were injured. Two were treated on the scene and released and helicopters evacuated eleven of them to Army combat support hospitals in the region.
The incident is under investigation by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.
