B-52s BEGIN TRAINING MISSIONS OVER NORTH ARABIAN GULF
A U.S. B-52 aircrew conducted a training mission today in the North Arabian Gulf region. The missions will be conducted on a recurring basis and are designed to maintain aircrew proficiency and familiarization.
The B-52 "Stratofortress" is a long-range, heavy bomber that can perform a variety of missions. The bomber is capable of flying at high subsonic speeds at altitudes of up to 50,000 feet. It can carry precision-guided mixed ordnance with worldwide precision navigation capability
