Germany, UAE to sign MoU on training Iraqi military and police

Berlin, Oct 2, IRNA -- Germany and the United Arab Emirates are 
expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on training 
Iraqi police and military personnel in the tiny Persian Gulf 
sheikdom. 
"The MoU which will be signed during the chancellor`s visit to 
the UAE, is Germany`s contribution to the reconstruction of Iraqi 
police and military. The UAE is our preferred partner in this 
mission," German government circles said Thursday. 
Germany has still to settle the question as to where this training 
will take place. 
Schroeder is to embark Saturday on a three-nation trip (October 
4-7) which will take him to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab 
Emirates.
