Berlin, Aug 26, IRNA -- Former American ambassador to the United Nations, Richard Holbrooke, called Washington`s strategy in Iraq the "worst foreign policy disaster since the Vietnam war", citing the US government`s lack of planning for Iraq`s post-war political order. "They (Americans) could not predict the nature of this war," Holbrooke said Tuesday in an interview with the daily Berliner Zeitung. As US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Canadian Affairs, Richard Holbrooke became the chief architect of the December 1995 Dayton Peace Accords that ended the Bosnian war. OT/213 END
