- Coalition Deaths Continue in Iraq, But Forces Remain Committed AFPS 11 Aug 2003 -- An American soldier from the 4th Infantry Division was killed in an "improvised explosive attack" that wounded two others late Aug. 10. Three other American soldiers have died in Iraq in the past several days. Despite these deaths, coalition forces continue to make progress throughout the country.

- ONE KILLED, TWO WOUNDED IN IED ATTACK CENTCOM 11 Aug 2003-- One 4th Infantry Division soldier was killed and two were wounded in an improvised explosive attack near the Ba'qubah police station Aug. 10 at approximately 9:45 p.m.

- UN envoy back in Baghdad after consulting with Egypt on Iraq's future UN News Centre 11 Aug 2003 -- Secretary-General Kofi Annan's Special Representative, Sergio Vieira de Mello, is back in Baghdad after a weekend visit to Egypt, where he met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher and Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa as part of his consultations with Iraq's neighbours on the UN role there.
