Anncr: Next, an editorial reflecting the views of the United States Government:

Voice: The repressive regime of Saddam Hussein is gone. But some agents of that regime continue to hurt Iraqis by attacking coalition personnel and Iraqi citizens working to establish the first democracy Iraq has ever known.

The Iraqi people deserve freedom from these threats and fears that represent the past. That is why the United States is offering a reward of up to twenty-five million dollars for information leading to the capture of Saddam Hussein or confirmation of his death. Here is U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell:

(ACT1 :12 - DALET: POLICY/ACTUALITIES) "We believe it's important to do everything we can to determine his whereabouts, whether he is alive or dead, in order to assist in stabilizing the situation and letting the people of Baghdad be absolutely sure that he's not coming back." (END ACT)

Determining the fate of Saddam Hussein and his henchmen will bring closure to millions of Iraqis who have lived in fear for decades. Rewards of up to fifteen-million dollars are also being offered for information about Saddam Hussein's sons, Qusay and Uday.

President George W. Bush says that the United States-led coalition will stand by its commitment to help the Iraqi people establish a democracy and the rule of law:

(ACT2 :19 - DALET: POLICY/ACTUALITIES) "A greater challenge comes from former Baath party and security officials who will stop at nothing to regain their power and their privilege. But there will be no return to tyranny in Iraq. And those who threaten the order and stability in that country will face ruin just as surely as the regime they once served." (END ACT)

Anyone with information concerning Saddam Hussein, his sons, or their terrorist henchmen, should contact coalition authorities in Iraq or the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate, or call 001-202-663-0819. Information may be sent by email to mail@rewardsforjustice.net. All responses will be kept strictly confidential. Individuals providing information may be eligible for relocation with their families.
