ONE U.S. SOLDIER KILLED, ONE INJURED IN GRENADE ATTACK
BAGHDAD, Iraq- One U.S. soldier was killed and one injured in a grenade attack on a military convoy south of Baghdad, in Khan Azad, Sunday.
The two soldiers were medically evacuated by ground ambulance to the 28th Combat Support Hospital. The soldier was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The names of the soldiers, who were assigned to the 1st Armored Division, are being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
