BAGHDAD, Iraq - Soldiers from 3d Forward Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, visited three orphanages in Baghdad today.

A doctor and dentist from the support battalion provided free examinations to a young girls' home, a special-needs home and a young women's home.

The battalion chaplain, as well as other soldiers, distributed humanitarian food rations, school supplies, toys and candy at each location.

The 3d FSB team visited 11 orphanages in Baghdad so far with at least two more planned for the upcoming week.
