KUWAIT CONDUCTS FORENSICS TO IDENTIFY REMAINS
SOUTHERN IRAQ- The Kuwaiti Prisoner of War Task Force and Coalition forces are exploiting a mass gravesite recently found near As Samawah.
Based on evidence found at the site, this could possibly be the remains of Kuwaiti citizens missing since the 1990 Iraqi invasion of the country. To date, over 600 people still remain unaccounted for.
The process of identifying human remains is a sensitive process and may take up to four days.
All remains will be treated with the highest respect and dignity.
