COALITION FORCES FIRED ON THIS MORNING
CAMP DOHA, Kuwait - Iraqis fired at Coalition forces on two separate incidents early this morning.
Iraqis attacked a Coalition patrol using small arms fire this morning in eastern Baghdad. Coalition forces returned fire. One soldier received a minor wound.
In another incident, Iraqis using grenades and small arms attacked Coalition forces in Al Fallujah. Seven Coalition soldiers were wounded; five required medical evacuation. All are in stable condition.
There are no estimates of enemy casualties.
The names of the wounded are being withheld until notification of next of kin.
In each case, Coalition forces exercised their inherent right to self-defense in accordance with the rules of engagement.
