[Announcer-read report] [FBIS Translated Text]
In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate. His Excellency President Saddam Husayn, may God watch over him, has addressed a letter to the United Nations and the international community
Foreign Minister Dr. Naji Sabri read the text of the president leader's letter from the UN General Assembly podium. The following is the text of the letter.
In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate. Mr. President of the UN General Assembly, Secretary General of the United Nations, Ladies and Gentlemen:
In an address at the General Assembly that was preceded and accompanied by noisy propaganda and extensive preparation, and in the midst of broad expectations of what is to take place, the US President stood up to deliver his speech from the UNGA podium. Instead of paying attention to common issues of a particular concern to humanity at large, such as security affairs in their broader and real sense, freedom linked to genuine independence, balanced economic growth that ends poverty or weakens its deadly impact and lays the groundwork for a life for mankind that is free of hatred, malice, and struggle and that would tackle endemic and contagious diseases on the basis of collective responsibility. The bases of such a collective responsibility would consist of social solidarity, expediting development and giving priority to altruism over selfishness, which makes greed control man. Instead of all this, the U.S. President, in a narrow-minded view, presented the security problems of his own country, and the sacrifices it has suffered in the events of September 11.
It is a good sign that the United States has resorted, for the first time after the end of the Cold War, to the General Assembly to put forward one of its problems, after years of disregard to the weight, effect, and opinion of others. Nevertheless, the US official did not give those who find it difficult to pinpoint the intention or the design a chance. He revealed the basic intention when he jumped to the issue of Iraq, without any introduction or acceptable progression. He portrayed Iraq as if it were the most dangerous situation, not only for the life, security, and future of the United States, but for the life, future, and security of the whole world. Along his generalizations, which implied deliberate insinuations, he presented the utmost distortions and showed the utmost scorn for the representatives of the countries who listened to him on the present or expected nuclear, biological, and chemical threats from Iraq. This jump that took place without any introduction was intentional and based on the principle of media and psychological impact according to the advice of those who wrote the US President's speech so as to make American citizens believe the deliberate insinuation that Iraq was linked to the American people's tragedy of September 11. By doing this, he also tried to influence those who listened to him at the UNGA and in the world. He seems to have assumed that the countries of the world are unaware of the US Administration and its methods, nor do they know Iraq and its high sense of responsibility toward humanity, its desire for peace and stability, or the fact that the Iraqis are a creative people in work, production, and innovation, in addition to being the heirs of the most ancient human civilizations. Had it not been for the Iraqi people and their civilization, the US President might not have learned how to write the words he used in his speech, nor would the legislators in his country have learned how to formulate the law. They would also have not managed to build their house that is called the White House.
Friendly brothers and gentlemen, the US president, in order to rally the sentiments of his listeners against Iraq, wanted or labored the illusion that he can influence the Iraqi people into disavowing their great national legacy. He said the Iraqi people deserve to exercise power democratically the American way. He pretended that he and his government are seeking to help the people of Iraq to achieve this, although he did not mention what kind of democracy he is calling for. Is it the democracy that existed before or after 11 September 2001? The US President talked about the importance of the regime in Iraq exercising democracy. He pretended to care for the people of Iraq after he and his predecessors killed with weapons, including the depleted uranium and the 12-month-old embargo, 1.7 million innocent people out of an Iraqi population of 25 million. I wonder how many people in the world he and the coming US administrations would kill if he wanted to show abundant care for other peoples!
The total number can be deduced in terms of relation and proportion. May God keep your people and our people from this care, which brings destruction to humanity and obliterates one's personality amid a savage appetite to make the world submit politically, economically, and in terms of development to the US-Zionist goals and schemes.
So, after a long time of utilizing the American propaganda machine, along with official statements of lies, distortion, and falsehood, the focus was basically turned on inciting the American public against Iraq, and pushing them to accept the U.S. Administration's schemes of aggression as a fait accompli, as if it were the solution or the necessary rescue that would allow American citizens to live in security and stability, after what they had gone through in the September 11 events.
The US Administration and opportunists here and there did not spare the chance to use passions and instincts through lies and falsehood to show, in trying to press for the necessity of an aggression against Iraq, as if it were Iraq that perpetrated the 11 September incidents or were a partner in the attacks.
The US Administration and its media tried to propagandize this, but they failed to convince anyone in the world, who are aware of Iraq's approach and goals, except certain parties, led by the Zionist desire for killing and destruction.
When the U.S. Administration realized that it was necessary to have an international cover for using force against Iraq, and that the world did not believe the lies it tried to propagate to link Iraq to the September events, it changed the issue and began to shed crocodile tears on international law, and the necessity to comply with the resolutions of international legitimacy, alleging that Iraq is not complying with Security Council resolutions, especially with regard to UN inspectors.
This implied that Iraq had the intention to develop or that it already possesses nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and according to this allegation it may give such weapons to terrorist organizations that pose a threat to world security. [It also alleged that] because Al-Qa'ida organizations managed to undermine America in the 11 September incidents, it would be able to use the weapon given it by Iraq to attack America, if joint hostility to America happened to bring Iraq and al-Qa'ida together.
According to these assumptions and subsequent assumptions, Iraq becomes a threat to US national security and to the American citizen. Accordingly, the US Administration has started to deal with the issue through a new perspective other than the direct link between Iraq, Al-Qa'ida, and the 11 September events. This is after the US Administration failed to present convincing proof to the world, although it had talked about this for several months and failed to convince world public opinion.
When someone tells them that Iraq has not absolved itself from Security Council resolutions -- in spite of the injustice it has endured -- and that it has implemented those resolutions, including what inspection teams wanted -- or rather teams of confusion -- that destroyed everything they wanted over seven years and a half. They destroyed everything that could be used for civil purposes or was originally designed to serve civil purposes such as furniture and equipment, which were described as having dual use.
The inspection teams kept wandering in Iraq as criminal Janissary teams that violated and destroyed everything for seven and a half years -- from 15 May 1991 to 15 December 1998. The teams found nothing to indicate that Iraq had violated anything mentioned in the relevant Security Council resolutions. Then America started to say: How would we know what Iraq has done from 15 December 1998 up to now following the withdrawal of inspection teams. They are told that Iraq calls on the Security Council to implement its pertinent resolutions in a balanced manner, including inspection requirements, which preserve Iraq's security, sovereignty, and pride. Iraq calls for lifting the embargo, compelling the United States to respect the same resolutions that call for respecting Iraq's sovereignty and right to live and remain independent, and to stop attacking Iraq as it has been doing since 7 April 1991 in northern and southern Iraq. The United States' response is that Iraq must accept the unconditional return of UN inspectors. Iraq tells them that these are not Iraqi conditions, but Security Council resolutions, the essence of which are embedded in Resolution 687; namely, calling for keeping the Middle East, including Israel, empty of weapons of mass destruction in line with paragraph 14 of that resolution. The US Administration responds by keeping silent and obstructing the Security Council's fulfillment of any of its commitments as a reciprocal duty and responsibility stated in the resolutions that impose commitments on Iraq. The United States also violates Iraq's sovereignty, terrifies its citizens, kills citizens, and destroys property with its planes and missiles everyday.
By the way, do you know that the United States and not the Security Council or Iraq is the one that instructed inspection teams to leave Iraq on 15 December 1998 to ensure that none of them would be hurt in its comprehensive and destructive aggression, which lasted for four days starting on 16 December 1998? This was also outlined in the confessions of Richard Butler. When the Speaker of the Iraqi National Assembly sends a letter to the US House of Representatives and to the Senate, calling on them to form delegations augmented with specialists in the nuclear, chemical, and biological fields to visit Iraq for three weeks during which they would search for the weapons that US Administration officials claim to exist, the US Administration rejects this proposal and obstructs any effort by the US House of Representatives and the Senate to respond to Iraq's call for unveiling the truth.
Here we ask any fair person: How can he explain the rejection of this Iraqi call and the challenge Iraq wanted to expose the truth as it is? However, by rejecting this offer, the US Administration does not want to see lies exposed or the truth exposed as it really is and as Iraq says. Thus, the true nature of the liar will be exposed and the truthful person will be shown as he really is to the public opinion, particularly to the US public, who were more prepared to see facts had a delegation from the Senate and the House of Representative visited Iraq for this purpose.
The United States insists on the return of the confusion [inspection] teams, which it itself forced to leave Iraq, and not Iraq or the Security Council, in order to make sure that the truth will not be exposed. The objective was to preoccupy Iraq and the Security Council with unimportant details, as well as with what the US Administration's organs would fabricate in terms of problems and differences in viewpoints over the method of inspection and what is being searched for, as well as the required time after which the Security Council should fulfill its obligations toward the international law. This includes the lifting of the blockade. We had bitter experiences with them in this field. Now that Iraq has accepted the return of the UN inspectors, we will all be able to see how they work. In our past experience with them, Iraq used to ask the inspection teams to do their job in accordance with the declared goals of the Security Council, but some of the inspectors went on doing intelligence and espionage work that had nothing to do with the official mandate of the inspection teams. Some of those inspectors have publicly admitted this, some, including an American, are still publicly talking about it. Even Rolf Ekeus, chief of the inspection teams, has stated that the inspector teams overstepped the limits of their defined duties by spying on the Iraqi leadership. Ekeus made a statement to the Swedish radio on 28 July 2002, which it published on its site on the internet on 30 July 2002, in which he said: "The United States and other powers exploited the inspection teams for their own political ends, including monitoring President Saddam Husayn's movements."
He also said that the inspection teams deliberately created problems to prepare the ground for possible military attacks. Undoubtedly, the Americans wanted to force the inspectors to achieve some basic US interests. Such steps were taken when he was head of the UN Special Commission [UNSCOM]. However, he does not believe that they were successful. But pressures increased with the passage of time, and included attempts to fabricate crises in the relations with Iraq. To some extent, this had something to do with the general political situation, internationally and locally.
He also said that the United States wanted to obtain information about the organization of security agencies in Iraq, and about Iraq's conventional military power. He knows that the United States seeks to obtain information about what President Saddam Husayn hides, especially since this is of a special importance. This is particularly true because they targeted him personally.
He added: "There was an ambition to fabricate crises under pressure and by a flagrant provocation, such as inspecting the Defense Ministry."
Our people and we, in our capacity as officials in the positions of responsibility, have been charged with the task of defending the principles and values you willingly recorded in the UN Charter and the goal on whose basis the Security Council was established, which is protecting security and achieving peace. As such, Iraq, in its showdown with evil and its struggle against the ill-intentions of the evil ones who acted single-handedly and arrogantly away from the mandate of the international organizations over 12 years, did not only defend its nationalism. Rather, it is as if Iraq defended your nationalism and even your respect for the UN organizations against those who acted single-handedly and unjustly and belittled the international public opinion and the international law. Iraq did this on your behalf and without your authorization. It is as if Iraq's sacrifices down this road are yours. If Iraq manages -- God willing -- to assume its national and human role by resisting injustice, it will help you enable yourselves deep inside and publicly to reject injustice and falsehood and perhaps resist them. This is for those who God helps resist falsehood with rightfulness and injustice with justice and equality. This is the core message of what the messenger of mercy, Prophet Muhammad, God's peace and prayers be upon him, called for when he said: If you see an evil act, correct it by your hand. If you cannot, correct it with your tongue. If you cannot, correct it in your heart. This is the least you can do.
We call upon you to support rightfulness against falsehood and not to be fearful of anybody's blame while defending rightfulness. This is after Iraq foiled, at your desire, the pretexts of those who harbor ill intentions by agreeing to re-admit the inspectors. We also call upon you to rescue the Palestinian people from the lethal and destructive aggressiveness of the Zionist entity and pressure this entity into complying with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions. In so doing, you will side with your Almighty God and with the humanity, your nationalism, your people's security, and your countries' independence. This is because the United States targets Iraq on behalf of the Zionism, which kills the heroic Palestinian people, destroys their property, kills their children, and seeks to control the world, not only militarily but also economically and politically.
Because the United States seeks to destroy Iraq with the aim of controlling the Middle East oil, and thus the politics as well as the oil and economic policies in the entire world, it will decide for each state, God forbid, what it needs for its economic growth, determine the oil quantity that will be sold to it, and control the oil prices. This is in addition to other conditions.
Esteemed attendants, brothers, and friends:
By taking such a stance, we defended the UN Charter and the principles of the Security Council and resisted the harm inflicted upon us by the arrogance and aggressiveness of the successive US administrations. These administrations violated the principles of the UN Charter and the international law and belittled your will over the stages and in the arenas of conflicts in the world, with its currently ongoing military aggression against Iraq foremost. This ongoing aggression further adds to the unjust blockade against the Iraqi people and supports the US plans to launch a large-scale operation with the aim of destroying anything that might gratify its devilish intentions.
The United States tried to deceive the public opinion before and implement its unjust and criminal plans against the peoples under a guise of deception. We hope that its officials will fail so that the US Administration will no longer be able to deceive anyone even if it uses eloquent statements and words that conceal its devils and evil intentions. A special awakening is taking place in the world against single-handedness, arrogance, and injustice. We hope that none of the representatives of the countries who are attending the UNGA or the Security Council sessions will disappoint their peoples or be deceived by the statements which lack proof. We hope that they will not enable the United States to get a moral or legal cover for the crime it is committing against Iraq and other peoples or what it intends to commit in the future.
In short, what Iraq wants is the respect of the principles of the UN Charter and international law, whether regarding its own interests and sovereignty or those of the other member-states of the United Nations. On this basis, Iraq was, and still is ready to cooperate with the Security Council and international organizations. However, Iraq rejects any transgression by whomever at the expense of its rights, sovereignty, security, and independence in a manner that contradicts the principles of the Charter and the international law. It is for this reason that Iraq has endured and its faith makes it ready to endure more for this end.
From this and other facts, you see, Ladies and Gentlemen, that Iraq has not rejected the relevant resolutions of the Security Council, even though what relates to Iraq in them is unjust and at odds with the UN Charter and international law. Rather Iraq calls on members of the Security Council, and on the U.S. Administration in particular, to respect their own obligations under the Charter, international law, and the relevant Security Council resolutions. Iraq demands that its inalienable rights stipulated in those very resolutions are met, including respect of its sovereignty and security, lifting the blockade imposed on it, and applying paragraph 14 (of Resolution 687) to the Zionist entity, as stipulated in the text in the same manner as it was applied to Iraq.
We hereby declare before you that Iraq is clear of all nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. If there are any one amongst you who might still worry that the fabrications announced by American officials about Iraq may possibly be true, our country is ready to receive any scientific experts accompanied by politicians you choose to represent any one of your countries to tell us which places and scientific and industrial installations they would wish to see, particularly those about which the American officials have been fabricating false stories, alleging that they contain prohibited materials or activities. If such experts and politicians visit Iraq, we shall provide them with all the facilities they need to achieve their objective; that is to see the true facts as they are. We even urge them to tell the international public opinion, including the people in your countries what they found in Iraq in light of the information the Americans offer to those of you who ask for it.
If your governments ride the bandwagon of the US fabrications after this without any evidence, then they would be responsible for their stands before God, the people, and history. As for us, we would have done what should have been done.
Any of you or others might wonder why we are ready to do all this in your presence and in the presence of others, including the offer we made to the US Senate and House of Representatives. If we are ready to do this, then why did we keep rejecting the return of the inspection teams to Iraq in the past, and why have we agreed to their return now, after we have depicted them in a negative manner?
Before the convocation of the UN General Assembly and before the US President delivered his recent speech in it, the Americans had chosen to act unilaterally outside the UN Security Council. The Americans have chosen to deviate from the relevant UN Security Council resolutions that called for respecting Iraq's sovereignty and independence. The US Administration started speaking in public that it is preparing for a unilateral aggression on Iraq and about its reckless plans against Iraq's sovereignty and independence and interference in its domestic affairs. The United States and the British Government have been carrying out ceaseless military aggression on Iraq. They killed a large number of Iraqi citizens, destroyed the properties of Iraq and the Iraqis on a large scale. The United States also drew parallel lines in Iraq to make it easier for it and for those who have followed suit to commit aggression and interference in violation of international law, the principles of the Charter, and the UN Security Council resolutions themselves. These resolutions stipulated the inspection teams.
However, the UN Security Council regrettably remained impotent in the face of this criminal and destructive behavior. It failed to put an end to this or to condemn the aggression and the violations.
The United States continued to believe that with this method it could achieve its evil objectives and subdue Iraq after it breaks its national will.
After the United States failed to realize the dreams of its failing imagination; following the changes that have taken place in the views of the world public, including the change that has taken place in the views of the US public, which has allowed them to see a large measure of facts and know the scope of the injustice their administrations, including the current administration, have meted out against Iraq, its people, and other peoples, and which has also enabled them to see how far these administrations, driven by their malicious unilateralist approach, which took them away from the international community, have gone in their violations of international law; after the US president sought the help of the international house of obedience [the UN Security Council], it is unwise of us to allow the situation to be depicted as if it were Iraq versus the world states, including the UN Security Council and the US Administration.
Because what basically matters to us is to ensure that our rights, sovereignty, and security are respected in accordance with international law, and because we seek to encourage those who are ready to make a new start, we have accepted the return of the inspection teams to Iraq, noting that the arrangements that would safeguard these principles, and achieve, with a measure of transparency, the goal of making sure that Iraq no longer possesses nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons of mass destruction should be observed. Along with you, we will just wait and see.
Once again, we would like to say that we have good expectations of those who may be assigned by your countries the task of [visiting Iraq and] knowing the facts, now or in the future, based on our expectations regarding their behavior with us, their approach to our national security, and their respect for our sovereignty even if the visitors were to be affiliated with the US Senate or the US House of Representatives.
Your work and visits, and the visits of those who could visit us for this purpose, for that matter, will be under the media spotlight. They will capture the attention of the world public. Once your visits are concluded, you may report about your findings and about your convictions, which must be substantiated. By contrast, if the inspection teams come and work without controls, they will most often operate outside the spotlight. They will operate in accordance with the intimations passed on to them. The US intimations, guidance, and orders will be paramount in the minds of those who will be acting on behalf of the Americans intelligence-wise.
To them, the important thing would not be to know the truth in accordance with international law and to respect the rights, sovereignty, and security of our state in accordance with the principles of the Charter. Rather, their major concern would be to achieve the goals assigned them. The goals included in the UN Security Council resolutions may be only part of their goals. Espionage may be a basic goal of their activity. They may also seek to update their information to account for each and every square meter and each and every vital pivot at this or that plant or in this or that production line or field of activity using special equipment, including GPS [preceding acronym in English] equipment. They may seek to update their previous information so that the air or missile strikes, if delivered at our plants or scientific activities, may be more harmful, and so that the concerned Americans, if they choose to go to excess in their aggression, may be more economical in their use of the ammunition used against us.
It is proven to us and the world that the inspection teams used to do so, and some of them admitted in public and their confessions are known to the world. Will those who represent you do this when they come to our country? We do not think that he who represents you will stoop to this level. If an individual, God forbid, stooped to this level, his being under watch will make him sustain less harm.
The inspection teams, as it has been established beyond doubt, used to fabricate crises and provide a cover for America to perpetrate actions outside the framework of the Security Council and international law. Backed by Britain, it had done so through unilateral acts of destructive aggression from 1991 to 1998 against northern and southern Iraq, and sometimes against our capital Baghdad. It is still doing so up to this day.
The visit by persons not affiliated with the distortion (inspection) teams to our scientific laboratories and installations does not make them do this. The blockade imposed upon Iraq has been in place for more than twelve years now, during which time our assets and oil revenues have been frozen, and we are unable to use them except through UN-run inefficient system already proven to be unfeasible. Substantial amounts of our revenues have been illegitimately seized in a manner tantamount to looting, contrary to the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter.
Therefore, when we call for a discussion of the issue of the inspection teams in accordance with international law, it should be done on a comprehensive basis with a discussion of Iraq's obligations, including the issue of the inspection teams as well as the obligations of the Security Council towards Iraq as stated in the resolutions themselves, particularly Resolution 687. These are reciprocal obligations of which the Security Council has implemented nothing, including the obligation of respecting Iraq's sovereignty which is being violated by America and Britain on a daily basis through their ongoing aggression and the artificially drawn parallel lines over northern and southern Iraq. The Iraqi aircraft are not allowed to get near or cross these lines. If the Iraqi planes cross these lines, their aircraft fire at them. British and US planes are allowed to roam armed in northern and southern Iraq -- north of parallel 36 and south of parallel 33. If the Iraqis use the radar systems to detect their aircraft, they are fired on or on any civilian or military installations. Opening fire on their aircraft in the skies of Iraq is considered an Iraqi aggression, as if their planes were flying in the skies of America and Britain. Their aircraft, on immediate or previous orders from their bases, direct their fire at Iraqi installations and citizens, killing and destroying as they want. The UNSC does nothing to fulfill its obligations and deter the aggressors who violate its resolutions, although it is they who drafted these resolutions.
The other important point has to do with what made us act with this flexibility with respect to those who want to be acquainted with the truth if they visit Iraq. We demanded that the issue of inspectors be addressed within the framework of a comprehensive settlement and that serious arrangements be made for the inspection teams not to deviate from the objectives of the UNSC. These arrangements must ensure that these teams and their work should not be considered in isolation so that the UNSC, notably its permanent members, including America and Britain, would fulfill their reciprocal obligations toward Iraq.
What made Iraq seek to solve the issue of inspectors within the framework of a comprehensive solution is the following: You may notice how the policy of the Zionist entity, which has usurped Palestine and other Arab territories since 1948, and afterwards, has become now as one with the policies and capabilities of the United States under the successive administrations over the past 30 years, especially the current US Administration.
You even know and notice how the schemes and capabilities of the US and Zionist administrations have become as one. This includes obstructing all UNSC resolutions, which demand that the Zionist entity withdraw from Palestinian and Arab territories. This is in addition to their disregard for the minimal level of the world public opinion and for the position of people and countries toward the Zionist entity's aggression and massacres, which it commits against the Palestinian people for no reason except the fact that they reject the occupation.
Since the reciprocal obligations in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, including the obligations the council stipulated that Iraq should fulfill in its Resolution 687, included a clear paragraph; namely, making the Middle East region free of weapons of mass destruction; because America does not want to embarrass the Zionist entity regarding its destruction and evil acts against Palestine, the Palestinians, and the Arabs; because it is one of the parties in the region meant by Paragraph 14 of Resolution 687; because America does not want to deprive it of its nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons; and because America realized that Iraq has fulfilled its obligations and that Iraq and the Arabs began to demand that Paragraph 14 be applied to the Zionist entity, America resorted to creating problems with Iraq. It might continue this in order to obstruct the application of Paragraph 14 to the Zionist entity and prevent the Security Council from lifting the blockade imposed on Iraq.
Based on this, and as one of the reasons, the concerned US administrations, including the current administration, resorted to creating crises with Iraq and involving the Security Council in this every time they thought they could do so. They had often used the inspection teams as a cover for barbaric and criminal actions in the serial of killing and destruction.
Therefore, Iraq has been keen to see the inspection issue discussed between the Security Council and Iraq, through the UN secretary general and the representatives of Iraq, with a view to reaching a balanced formula, based on the principles of the Charter and the relevant resolutions of the Security Council, within a comprehensive solution, which should bring to an end the cycle of American accusations and fabricated crises against Iraq. At the same time this would reassure Iraq with regard to its security, sovereignty, territorial integrity and its right to choosing its own way without interference in accordance with the rules established in the Charter of the United Nations.
We hope that this will be the approach of the UN General Assembly. We also hope that the General Assembly will support Iraq in this in order to check America's plan to reshuffle papers in order to conceal its intentions with a cover of smoke, thus dissociating itself from the truth and the law, opting for the way of generalizations and distortion some time, and reversing facts most of the time.
The US President said in his speech that Iraq is providing financial support to the Palestinian people. My comment is that the US President is correct in what he says. Yet we feel that the support we have extended has not been as high as we would have hoped, because of the circumstances which have curtailed our means. In extending this support, we act in accordance with the UN Charter and the resolutions of your assembly, which considered peoples' national struggle against occupation and colonialism as an inalienable national right. If these UN clauses were changed under a US-Zionist pressure, then we will see that each side acts in accordance with its own view and responsibility. Based on this, and in accordance with these same principles, Iraq, and others, throughout two decades of the past 30 years, extended generous aid. It is one of its duties toward the peoples who have struggled and are struggling to get rid of colonialism and occupation in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
But what grounds do America and its presidents have in supporting the Zionist Entity, which has been occupying Palestine and other Arab territories, and committing its criminal policy of killing Palestinians, destroying their property, and encroaching upon and destroying the sanctities of Muslims and Christians there? What principles and what laws does the US President rely on in killing the Iraqis, blockading their country, destroying their property and interfering in their internal affairs? Are you ready to defend right? Will you do so?
Jacob, the student of Jesus Christ, may God's peace be upon him, said: "Brothers, if some of you deviated from right, and some one restored this right to you, then let him know that he who protects someone from making wrong will have saved oneself from death and covered many sins."
Gentlemen, brothers, and friends: We have a great hope in everyone of you, who represents the will of his people and the conscience of humanity, if you cannot change what is wrong and resist it with your hands directly, then resist it with your tongues, and if you cannot do so, then we would be satisfied if you do not brandish your swords against us and support us in your hearts and pray to God, each his own way and in accordance with his religion and faith. God is Great, God is great, God is Great, and peace be upon you.
