- U-S-TURKEY-IRAQ VOA 26 Dec 2002 -- Secretary of State Colin Powell spoke by telephone Thursday with Turkish Foreign Minister Yasar Yakis. The Bush administration is sending a senior-level delegation to Ankara for two days of talks starting Friday on Iraq and U-S economic aid to Turkey
- COALITION FORCES TARGET IRAQI MILITARY COMMUNICATION FACILITIES 26 Dec 2002 -- In response to Iraqi acts against Coalition aircraft monitoring compliance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions over Southern Iraq, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to target Iraqi military command and control communication facilities. The facilities were located near Tallil, approximately 175 miles southeast of Baghdad. The strikes occurred at approximately 12:00 a.m. EST
