- COALITION FORCES STRIKE IRAQI MOBILE RADAR, SURFACE-TO-AIR MISSLE SITES 28 Sept 2002-- In response to Iraqi hostile acts against Coalition aircraft monitoring the Southern No-Fly Zone, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to strike a military mobile radar near Al Basrah, Iraq and a surface-to-air missile site near Qalat Sikur, Iraq at approximately 5 p.m. EDT.

a strong, bipartisan resolution supporting the Administration's
efforts to force Iraqi compliance with U.N. demands for elimination of
weapons of mass destruction.
