  • COALITION FORCES STRIKE IRAQI SURFACE-TO-AIR MISSLE SITES 26 Sept 2002-- In response to Iraqi hostile acts against Coalition aircraft monitoring the Southern No-Fly Zone, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Coalition aircraft used precision-guided weapons today to strike two Iraqi surface-to-air missile sites near Qalat Sikur, approximately 130 miles southeast of Baghdad, and Tallil, approximately 170 miles southeast of Baghdad, at approximately 3:45 and 4:30 p.m. EDT.
