US new machination against Iraq -- A policy of reckless aggression |
By Fadia Al-Ni'aimi |
In an appearance by
Secretary of State Colin Powell before a Senate
committee, as well as through selected leaks to the
press, the Bush administration has confirmed plans to
launch a war with Iraq in a matter of months. It seems that the habit and confirmed practice of the evil administration represented mainly by the USA and its ally, Britain, is to release lies and false assumptions about what they call " Iraq's possession of mass destruction weapons" and " Iraq's menace to the security of the United States and the whole World"!! What a nonsense!.. The United States, by this, wants to make a fool of the whole world for it pretends to be a victim and a hero at the same time before the eyes of the world through punishing the "source of terrorism" as it assumes, and practicing a protective answer, by using a military action against Iraq. On the framework of their crazy campaigns, the US and its allies go on fabricating various false stories all of which are of no sense and irrational in a feverish attempt to gain the world public opinion to hit Iraq and its leadership in order to pave the way for Israel to impose its hegemonic control on the whole Arab arena. George W. Bush, the submissive, exerts no efforts in carrying out whatever his masters, Israel and other evil forces, command him to do. That's why he expresses his anxiety and fear from " Iraq's threat to America's safety and security by possessing and manufacturing mass destruction weapons" as he presumes, and that " Iraq may supply the terrorist organizations with these weapons". While Condalise Rice, US National Security Advisor, and Colin Powell, US secretary of State, speak about "open choices" and using " all the means available". Powell said, "With respect to Iran and with respect to North Korea, there is no plan to start a war with these nations." The unmistakable implication was that there is a plan to start a war with Iraq, and Powell added, "With respect to Iraq, it has long been, for several years now, a policy of the United States government that regime change would be in the best interests of the region, the best interests of the Iraqi people.... And we are looking at a variety of options that would bring that about." Tony Blair, British Prime Minister, always speaks rubbish. At times he announces that he owns a " treasure" of information and tangible evidences about Iraq's mass destruction weapons, at other times he raise false accusations that he will show the world these evidences in its time". On the other hand, Donald Rumsfeld, US Defense Secretary, whom the whole world uncover his lies at the time of the US accelerating aggressions against Afghanistan, remained repeating the cracked phonograph about " the protective reaction and answer". He called upon the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to open a penal investigation about those who leaked out information about the American intention scenarios to launch an overwhelming attack and a large-scaled aggression against Iraq. He also expressed his anger and resentment of the objections and refusal made by many elements and members in the Pentagon to make any aggression against Iraq. It is worth to mention that the main argument used by the White House to scare up support for a severe invasion is that "Iraq must be prevented from acquiring or developing chemical, biological or nuclear weapons". In fact the White House has focused on this forged argument because it has no other. Every effort was made to connect Iraq to the September 11th attack and later to the anthrax attacks in the autumn of 2001. It is impossible to understand this drive to war as simply a response to the September 11 attacks or the anthrax attacks because they US has no tangible evidence that Iraq is the source of these acts. This decision, with the most far-reaching and potentially disastrous consequences not only for the people of Iraq, but also for the people of the whole Middle East, the United States' "planning of an offensive war" is a war crime. |
