A statement for the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to allegations of British Prime Minister
British Prime Minister reiterated in a press statement, that Iraq seeks to acquire weapons of mass destruction, especially nuclear capability, and that he had the evidences but did not declare them openly now.
In response to that, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: Mr. Tony Blair seems to be determined to evade of the response of the Iraqi offer on the 28th of Feb.,2002 concerning an immediate preparation to receive a British mission sent by Mr. Blair himself to show us where and when Iraq is seeking the production of such weapons. If the British Prime Minister wants to substantiate his claims, so the offer is still existing. Once again, we challenge him to present a single evidence, but he is unable to do so, as the inspection teams had failed before.
The Ministry's spokesman pointed out: Mr. Blair continues using double standards by inciting the fears of the alleged mass destruction weapons in Iraq. He deliberately overlooks the mass destruction weapons acquired by the Zionist entity, including (400) nuclear warheads recognized by the American and the Zionist state institutions.
It is well known that this entity rejects to comply with the UN and Security Council Resolutions which call for freeing of these weapons including the Security Council Resolution (487) in 1981 which called on the Zionist entity to subject its nuclear facilities to the safeguard system of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the Article (14) of the Resolution (687) in 1991, which called for freeing the Middle East region of mass destruction weapons.
The spokesman stressed: Mr. Blair is blindly following the extremists' policy in the US administration caused him to be in a position that contradicts with the position of more than (170) MPs of his Party as well as the position of the British people, who doesn't see any British interest to pursue blindly the policy of the American administration in exporting evil, wars and aggression to the people of the world and the independent states.
The spokesman concluded his statement saying "we confirm to Mr. Blair and the whole world that Iraq has no interests in entering the club of mass destruction weapons".
We have challenged the defunct special committee since 1991, and now we are challenging anyone who claims to give an evidence that Iraq acquires weapons of mass destruction. In return, the (IAEA) is still stressing, in its reports, the last of which is the report of its mission to Iraq in January this year, the cooperation of Iraq, the corresponding of the items and the inclusive sites in investigation with Iraq's statements. The (IAEA) has also confirmed in its reports the last of which is the report of the Agency's Director General in the two dialogue rounds in New York in May and in Vienna at the beginning of July, in which the Agency has achieved its disarmament tasks before Mr.Buttlar requested the Agency to leave Baghdad to pave the way to a large-scale US-British aggression against Iraq during the period 16-20 December, 1998. Nothing remained unfinished of the disarmament tasks except three issues which can be covered in the on-going monitoring phase.
