COALITION AIRCRAFT TARGETED
INCIRLIK AB, TURKEY - At approximately 3:20 p.m. Iraqi time today, a U.S. Air Force F-16CJ Fighting Falcon acting in self defense launched a high-speed antiradiation missile (HARM) at a radar system north of Mosul. The radar system posed a threat to the F-16 and coalition forces conducting routine enforcement of the Northern no-fly zone in Iraq.
Forces assigned to Operation Northern Watch will continue to enforce the Northern no-fly zone.
