Coalition aircraft fired upon and targeted by radar

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, TURKEY -- Between 11:15 and 1:30 p.m. Iraqi time, while conducting routine enforcement of the northern no-fly zone, a flight of U.S. F-15Es dropped more than twenty GBU-12 and GBU-10 precision guided bombs on multiple Iraqi anti-aircraft artillery and radar sites near Mosul after being fired upon and targeted by those sites.

There was no damage to coalition aircraft.

Damage to Iraqi forces is currently under assessment.

Coalition forces assigned to Operation Northern Watch (ONW) will continue to enforce the northern no-fly zone.
