INCIRLIK AIR BASE, TURKEY -- Between 12:10 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Iraqi time, while conducting routine enforcement of the northern no-fly zone, two U.S. F-16CJs launched two AGM-88 high-speed antiradiation missiles (HARM) in self defense at a radar site near Mosul that had illuminated the aircraft.
There was no damage to coalition aircraft.
Damage to Iraqi forces is currently under assessment.
Coalition forces assigned to Operation Northern Watch (ONW) will continue to enforce the northern no-fly zone.
