Iran Army to host hybrid rescue operation in Caspian Sea

The Islamic Republic of Iran Army plans to host the hybrid maritime rescue exercise 2025 (CASAREX 2025) in the Caspian Sea. The exercise will run for three days, starting Monday.
Naval vessels from the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy and the Russian Federation Navy are scheduled to participate in the drills.
The event will be held under the slogan "Together for a Safe and Secure Caspian Sea."
Participating forces will include the naval branches of Iran's Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (I.R.G.C.), the Law Enforcement Force, along with the Russian Federation Navy. Observers from other littoral states of the Caspian Sea will also be in attendance.
The primary goal of the operation is to reinforce maritime safety and security while fostering greater cooperation among the naval forces of these countries.
