Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says Tehran remains committed to international law but will never yield to pressure or accept the denial of its legal rights.

In a phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Saturday, Pezeshkian expressed full confidence in the transparency and peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities.

"Therefore, we have no concerns regarding inspection. However, we must stress that the imposition of force and pressure, as well as the denial of our nation's legal rights, is entirely unacceptable," he said.

He added that Iran has consistently proved the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

He also reiterated Iran's commitment to the prohibition of nuclear weapons based on a fatwa (religious decree) issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The president, however, expressed regret that Iran's nuclear program has been judged based on false claims, misinformation, and media propaganda.

He elaborated on the establishment of a ceasefire following the end of the Israeli-US 12 days of acts of aggression against Iran and European countries' efforts to encourage Iran to return to the negotiating table.

"In accordance with its principled policies, Iran has always supported any bid leading to the promotion of peace and security," Pezeshkian said.

He asserted that Iran has never sought war and insecurity and has consistently played a leading role in fostering peace and stability in the region.

He emphasized that the Israeli regime launched its aggression against Iran in blatant violation of all international norms and regulations while Tehran and Washington were engaged in indirect nuclear talks.

Subsequently, the United States, in full coordination with the Israeli regime, bombed Iran's nuclear facilities, which were under comprehensive IAEA inspections, he said.

He criticized the UN nuclear agency's inaction over the attacks on the nuclear sites and said the Iranian people expect the IAEA to condemn the aggression in accordance with rules and regulations.

Between June 13 and 24, Israel waged a blatant and unprovoked aggression against Iran, killing at least 1,060 people, including high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.

On June 22, the United States also entered the war and bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, in a clear violation of international law and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the occupied territories as well as the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.

On June 24, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the illegal assault.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Pezeshkian pointed to historical and cordial relations between Iran and Armenia and said the Islamic Republic's policy is to have constructive interaction with all neighboring countries based on respect for the territorial integrity of all nations.

The Armenian prime minister, for his part, condemned the Israeli regime's acts of aggression against Iran.

Pashinyan reaffirmed his country's keenness to promote relations with Iran and invited President Pezeshkian to travel to Armenia to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
