Army commander terms safeguarding independence and territorial integrity an eternal duty

Kermanshah, IRNA -- Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari, has emphasized that safeguarding the nation's independence and territorial integrity is an eternal responsibility.
Speaking in a ceremony on Monday, Brigadier General Heidari said: "We are forever indebted to the patience and steadfastness of the families of martyrs. We consider the defense of Iran's independence and territorial integrity as an unwavering and eternal duty."
Referring to the indispensable role that martyrs have played in securing Iran's sovereignty and strength, he stressed that the spirit of defense and resistance will always be upheld by the country's brave Army and its dedicated forces.
He further emphasized, "The martyrs are the guiding light of Iran's honor and freedom, and their sacrifices ensure the nation's lasting security today."
