Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly condemned the Israeli-US aggression against the country, saying the Islamic Republic will seriously pursue its right to have the aggressors recognized and seek compensation in international organizations.

Araghci made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, on Tuesday, during which the two sides exchanged views on bilateral ties as well as the latest developments in the region following US and Israeli aggression against Iran.

The Iranian top diplomat also called on the international community and the United Nations to take the necessary measures to hold the US and Israel accountable for their aggression against Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity and violation of all international principles and laws.

Aragchi thanked the Armenian government for its stance, expressing gratitude for its assistance in resolving consular issues concerning Iranian citizens during the 12-day imposed war against the country.

Mirzoyan, for his part, reiterated his condemnation of the US and Israeli acts of aggression against Iran and welcomed the cessation of hostilities, which would lead to stability and a reduction in tension in the region.

On June 13, the Israeli regime launched an unlawful aggression against Iran, leading to the assassination of many senior commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary citizens.

Iran retaliated in less than 24 hours with a barrage of missiles and drones, and followed it up with a series of retaliatory operations under True Promise III.

The US entered the war on behalf of Israel on June 22, when its bombers hit three Iranian nuclear sites in brazen violation of international law.

In response, Iran launched a missile strike on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest US military air base in West Asia, in an act of self-defense.
