Tehran, IRNA -- The spokesperson for President Masoud Pezeshkian's administration has said that the enemies have not understood Iran and its people, adding that the cultural heritage and civilizational wealth of this nation prevent them from allowing even the slightest harm to be inflicted on the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

In her weekly press briefing on Tuesday, Fatemeh Mohajerani said that the enemy had relied on its war of aggression and the assassination of Iranian security personnel and military commanders to incite protests across the country; however, they failed to recognize that Iranians will not permit foreign adversaries to disrupt the nation.

Regarding the latest statistics on losses and injuries from the U.S.-Israeli war, she said that according to the Ministry of Health's announcement, 5,646 individuals were injured, and 935 people lost their lives, including 140 women and children.

She also said that the actions of the Israeli regime against Iran are considered a crime under international law; therefore, the Iranian administration began lodging complaints with the U.N. Security Council and human rights organizations from the very first hours of this aggression.

In response to a question on the situation of Iranian nuclear sites following the U.S.-Israeli strikes, the spokesperson said that Iran's nuclear facilities have been seriously damaged.

When asked about future talks between Iran and the United States, she said that, as the Iranian foreign minister and his spokesperson have declared that no timeline has yet been set for these discussions, and it is likely that they will not occur very soon. The Iranian side has not made a decision in this regard, Mohajerani said.
