Iran's Foreign Minister and his British counterpart discussed the recent unprovoked Israel-US aggression against the Islamic Republic in a phone call on Friday.
Abbas Araghchi and David Lammy also discussed the cessation of Israeli aggression, which came after 22 phases of the Iranian retaliatory operation against sensitive and strategic Israeli military, intelligence, and industrial facilities across the occupied territories.
The aggression on the Islamic Republic claimed the lives of 627 Iranians, including senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians. At least 4,800 others were injured, according to the health ministry.
The Israeli attacks targeted military and nuclear sites as well as vital non-military infrastructure, including a building of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), healthcare centers, outreach facilities, Tehran's Evin Prison, and both residential neighborhoods and rural communities, inflicting widespread civilian harm.
More than a week after the Israeli regime launched its unprovoked aggression, the United States also joined the fray, targeting three nuclear facilities located in Iran's central and north-central areas, prompting the Islamic Republic to hit al-Udeid, Washington's most important airbase in the West Asia region.
Araghchi and Lammy had previously met in Geneva before the US launched its aggression against the Islamic Republic. The meeting was also attended by the top diplomats of France and Germany, the original signatories to the 2015 nuclear deal.
