China calls on the parties to conflict, especially Israel, to prioritize interests of people in regional countries: FM

In response to a media inquiry about the current Israel-Iran situation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Thursday that the military conflict between Israel and Iran has been ongoing for a week and is continuously escalating. It has not only caused significant harm to the people of both countries but also severely impacted peace and stability in the region and the world.
China is deeply concerned about this, Guo said.
"There are no winners in an escalated conflict, which will only cause greater destruction and trigger more turmoil," Guo said.
China strongly calls on the parties to the conflict, especially Israel, to prioritize the interests of the people in regional countries, immediately implement ceasefire, end the war, and ease the current tense situation, Guo noted.
