
Reconstruction after 12-day war over 90% complete: Tehran mayor

Tehran, IRNA -- Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, has announced that more than 90% of the construction projects for the victims of the "12-day war" have been completed.
On the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Zakani said that the majority of the housing projects for the victims of the imposed war have finished, with more than 92% of all projects completed.
He noted that more than 5,000 buildings have been prepared in the minor construction sector, which is now 100% complete.
Additionally, the mayor highlighted the progress in reinforcement and renovation projects, noting that over 80% of the reinforcement work for damaged buildings has started. In the demolition and renovation sector, more than 70% of the projects are currently underway, he added.
Earlier on August 28, First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref stressed the urgent need to expedite the reconstruction of homes damaged during the 12-day war imposed by the Israeli regime, emphasizing that compensation for losses in production and industrial units is also vital.
